Shame to Transparency

transparency-785-1How many of us have stood next to our son, daughter or spouse after they had done something that brought shame to us.  We stood there, repressing and enduring the shame of the situation, reaching for the greater thing — the recovery of our child, our husband or our wife.  Love endures shame.

Sessions in Pain, pg. 84

Shame comes when our ugliness is exposed to others. As we endure this exposure and as we give it to God, He develops a strong shield within us and around our souls – it is called Transparency. Transparency comes as you no longer concern yourself with what people see in your life; it is only what God sees in you that matters.

He sees all of who and what you are -and He loves you!
